Prior to the DSNO talk, Susie is requesting families email or call regarding their specific questions and topics they would like her to address. Important aspects of Articulation, Receptive Language, Expressive Language and Social Cognition will be described which are key to understanding a child’s communication strengths, challenges and future growth. Susie will share how some of her long-time clients with Down syndrome have evolved over the years from preschool to adulthood.
Susie Roach Stewart is a speech-language pathologist who initially worked with adults and children in clinic and hospital settings, and since 1989, has provided services to children and young adults in her private practice. She is passionate about carefully evaluating and determining the best ways to help each child feel successful and motivated as they work hard together to achieve meaningful speech and language gains. She enjoys developing close bonds while working collaboratively with clients and their families.
