DESCRIPTION:The Power of Possible\, an event that celebrates the limitless potential of individuals with Down syndrome. This special gathering will bring people together through powerful stories\, meaningful connections\, and shared experiences that inform\, inspire\, and strengthen community. At the heart of the event are stories of courage\, perseverance\, and possibility. \nFeatured speakers include Chris Nikic\, the first person with Down syndrome to complete an IRONMAN® triathlon\, and his father Nik Nikic. Together\, they will share their extraordinary journey and the lessons behind their “1% Better” philosophy. Attendees will also hear from Karen Gaffney\, accomplished athlete\, advocate\, and founder of the Karen Gaffney Foundation. Karen will share her personal journey and highlight the importance of lifelong support\, education\, and physical fitness. \nThe event also includes a Community Spotlight Panel featuring Oregon organizations advancing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities\, plus a live Q&A and networking session. \nThe Power of Possible inspires attendees to turn possibility into action by strengthening connections\, expanding opportunities\, and helping build communities where everyone belongs. DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to once again welcome our community to the DSNO Buddy® Walk 25th Anniversary at Millennium Plaza Park in Lake Oswego on Sunday\, September 20th!  Buddy Walk®\, established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society\, is the premier advocacy event to celebrate Down syndrome awareness in the U.S.\, and the most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community globally.
