2022 Buddy Teams

Arthur’s Rascals

Yep. It’s happening. In person and awesome! DSNO is a wonderful organization that offers programs, community, and support for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families! They have it all, but can’t do any of it without financial support. So give what you can—this helps our family and other families build strong relationships and continue to learn, connect, and grow. Thanks!

Asher’s League

Hello friends and family,

We are so happy to share with you that the walk is back in person this year. We would love for you to join us at the walk in support of DSNO and celebrating the joy Asher has brought to our lives. DSNO has been a major support to our family from the day Asher was born. They have been instrumental in helping this momma be the best momma I can for my little man. So please come out and join us and if you can’t join please consider donating. We hope to see you there!!

Chip Zeman

Thank you for supporting Chip and this incredible organization.
This will be Chip’s 14th buddy walk.

Clare’s Clan

Thank you for supporting Clare’s Clan. For the past 2 years, they had to cancel Buddy Walk due to COVID, and we finally get to celebrate the community of people with Down Syndrome this year! DSNO provides many programs that support our children and their families. Clare took Hip Hop Dance Summer camp they offered and had a blast! She didn’t have good experience with typical dance lessons so it was great to see her shine doing what she loves to do the most! Please join our team for the walk. If you can’t make it to the walk, please consider making donations to DSNO. We really appreciate your support!

Diego’s Dream Team

Besides his birthday, Buddy Walks top Diego’s list of favorite days of the year! I cannot wait to see his excitement this year because it’s been a few years since his last one. We invite you to join Diego’s Dream Team and/or donate! DSNO have been a great resource during this journey of over 15 years. The walk is Sunday, September 25th at Millennium Plaza Park in Lake Oswego.

IronMena’s Marvels

Jimena is in love with Iron Man and you know how much he has overcome the past couple years, C19 tried to take her and she said no way, not today!!! Seriously, since the day she was born, she has done everything everyone said she couldn’t. She is 11 and super amazing. Shes a big and little sister. She is also an Aunt and she loves to remind her nieces of this. She is soon to be a sassy lil 6th grader and a Private in Lewis and Clark Young Marines. (which she absolutely loves)

This is our first Buddy Walk with DSNO and we are super excited to invite our family and friends to meet our DS family.

If you are unable to come walk with us, making a donation will help us reach our goal to help Down Syndrome Network Oregon.

Isaiah’s Infantry

We are so excited to be back in person for the Buddy Walk 2022! Please come join the fun walking with Isaiah’s Infantry supporting him and everyone!

Thank you DSNO for all the opportunities to try new things and make connections!

Thanks for your support and God bless!

Kennedy’s Krew

This past year has been a year of growth for our girl!! Kennedy has been on fire learning to read!! She will be entering the 2nd grade this fall, and is excited to show her little brother the ropes of elementary school. This last year she has played a variety of different sports including ballet, basketball, t-ball and Tae Kwon Do.

She enjoys watching cooking shows and then insisting she star in her own, at least once a day, requesting I record her making something in the kitchen. She enjoys trying out new looks with make-up (oh boy!), playing hide and seek, jumping on the trampoline, working out, playing with her baby dolls, camping adventures with family and friends, and especially loves her pets and booping them on their noses. We love her passion for learning, being active, making art and especially her love for anything furry. She is a little prankster and get a real thrill scaring people as they walk past. She loves to serenade people with her favorite songs, even winning the star singer award in her first-grade class. She has been learning how to ride a bike with training wheels, which has been a challenge but continues to persevere, as she does in most aspects of her life.

This summer Kennedy was able attend DSNO’s sports camp and loved working with all the amazing volunteers and getting to know her fellow buddies. This is just one of the many events the DSNO has created to support kids with Down syndrome and their families. We have been very blessed to have been a part of this incredible organization since before this little lady was born. The DSNO welcomed our family with loving arms when I was pregnant and celebrated Kennedy with a baby shower. The DSNO has been instrumental in helping our family and countless others in finding community and resources. I couldn’t imagine navigating the early years of diagnosis and heart complications without the love and support of this organization. Your donations allow these events and supports to continue to bless ours and many other families experiencing Down syndrome and all other developmental diagnosis. Please come show your support and be a part of Kennedy’s Krew at the annual Buddy Walk (Yay! It’s baaaaaack!!). If you are unable to attend, a small donation makes a world of difference to families like ours. Thank you and hope to see you there!!

Team Anna Perry

Yahoo, we are so excited to be back in person for the Buddy Walk! We would love to have our family and friends join us for this amazing walk. I don’t know where our family would be without DSNO. After Anna was born we had the honor of meeting one of the co-founders Paula, who came to visit us 13 years ago in the hospital. Paula also brought a Basket of Hope filled with goodies and information about Down Syndrome.

DSNO offers amazing events to moms, dads and of course are amazing kiddos: Family night at Oaks Park, CHAP (Children’s Healing Art Project), Virtual Cooking classes, Exercise classes, Mom’s night out, Dad’s gatherings, mom’s weekend retreat. These are just of the amazing events that DSNO offers!!!

Anna is a blessing from the Lord and knows how to reach and touch peoples’ hearts. If someone is having a bad day, Anna knows how to get that person to smile and to bring joy to them. Anna has a sweet and gentle spirit when she is around babies and other kiddos with special needs.

We would love for you to join us for a walk around the beautiful park and enjoy lunch served by the awesome LO Lions Club. I do not know where we would be today without the incredible support of the DSNO family. DSNO is a cross disability group and include children, like Harrison who have Autism. DSNO has been there for us in so many ways. They lend support for resources and have been there to support us emotionally and financially by the activities that we participate in, such as the exercise group, Mom’s Night Out, Dad’s gatherings, Christmas Caroling to retirement homes and so much more.

Please help us and other families by giving what you can to this incredible organization!
Love, the Halstead Family

Team Jude

Friends and family we would love to have you join us for the buddy walk! Your love and support means so much to us.

The DSNO has amazing programs to help Jude reach his goals. They have activities for sports, inclusion, and social activities as well as support for parents. Over the last few years we have gotten to take part in so many of the activities, outings and camps that the DSNO puts on. These resources have really made a difference for Jude and our whole family. They provide resources for new families and so much connection among the Down Syndrome community. The funds raised during the buddy walk help provide all of these important resources. Make a donation or register to walk with us and help support this amazing organization.

Come support Jude!
Thank you so much.

Much love
– The Pearson’s

Now, more than ever, social connection is important to her, and we are grateful for the events and activities that DSNO runs that help us connect with other local families and have fun.

This last year, we started taking Lizzie to DSNOFit, a seasonal exercise class run by DSNO and volunteers. She loves the physical activity, the friendly volunteers, and making friends with others in the DS community.

We appreciate all that DSNO does to help us connect to other families, and we’d love to see you at this year’s Buddy Walk if you can make it!

Thank you for your continued support of Lizzie and DSNO.

All our best,

Ukiah’s Union

Hi friends!

My name is Ukiah and I’m 7 months old. This is my FIRST Buddy Walk and I’m so excited. Some of my favorite things are smiling at Mommy, looking at Dads big ol’ bucks on the wall & tummy time with my cousin. I’m also a big eater, I’ve tried about 30 different foods now. I’m happy to be here, around friends who are just like me!

Thank you for your support!
