Kid Dance Clinic

Let’s get back on the dance floor this winter! Dance classes with dance instructor Cheryl Landazuri for kids (6-11) resume the last week of January. Come learn new dance skills and routines while hanging out with friends! Registration details below for both winter and spring sessions are below, and each session is capped at 20 participants. Kid Dance Clinic: Ages 6-11 | Tuesdays, 4:15-5:00 PM

Winter Session: Jan 27 – Mar 17

Spring Session: Apr 14 – Jun 2

West Linn Adult Community Center (Oak Room)
1180 Rosemont Rd. West Linn

Fee
$120 for Session 1 (Winter) and $120 for Session 2 (Spring). Scholarship requests available here.

Class Structure

  • “Circle Up” for our class connection time
  • Warm up – Dance, run, hop, and stretch
  • Learn and practice dance routine + other movements + game breaks
  • Cool down
  • Closing huddle cheer

Be sure to have kids wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing to dance and stretch in, and don’t forget a labeled water bottle.

**NOTE: If your child tends to wander, elope, grab or touch equipment that is not a part of the class, a parent/guardian/DSP or PSW is required to stay with the child as a 1:1 support the entire class time.  Please reach out to Cheryl with any questions or needs you may have.**

About Cheryl Landazuri

Cheryl has been dancing her entire life but started training when she was 12 years old. She was active on dance teams for 11 years which started in middle school and moved on to competitive dance with the Tigard High School Tigerettes. She was on the OSAA All State Dance Team and continued her love of dance on the Western Oregon University Dance Team for four years. Being hired as the Western Oregon University Dance Team Head Coach a year after graduation, Cheryl coached her team through all home game performances and collegiate level dance competitions. She has choreographed for youth dance teams in Quito, Ecuador, and most recently has been teaching dance classes and summer camps for the DSNO for the past few years. In Cheryl’s classes, you get to be yourself. Every person is a dancer and has much to share with the world. She can’t wait to dance with you!
