Lucien & The Silly Geese

Welcome to Team Lucien & The Silly Geese- where it’s Halloween year-round, and we dance to ‘What Does the Fox Say?’ like the fate of chocolate depends on it. Local family and friends- please join us for our walk on September 20th in honor of Lucien’s incredible story, resilience and progress. We walk to advocate for inclusion, human rights, and awareness of the beauty and struggles that come with a Down syndrome diagnosis.

DNSO has become a family for Lucien- a community where he has opportunities to try new things at his own pace and be completely himself.
Lucien knows that anytime we’re driving down to Lake Oswego, he will be surrounded by friends (kids and grown-ups alike). I know that anytime we’re at a DNSO event, we’re surrounded by families who truly understand our experience and will support us however possible.

We feel safe knowing everyone there is a friend and partner, whether meeting someone new or seeing familiar faces. Our yearly Mom’s Beach Retreat has become a haven for Bethany and so many other moms. DSNO is not just a community organization for us- they have been friends, family, advocates, collaborators, and a support system.

Anytime I have a question, or we hit an unexpected road bump, I know someone in DNSO can help point me in the right direction. Whether it’s personal experience from moms of kids at every stage of life; someone to listen and help you brainstorm; or sometimes simply commiserate and laugh. Being a part of the DNSO community is always worth the drive from Ridgefield.
