Arthur is awesome and so is the DSNO! Come virtually walk with us and donate to this incredible organization who has worked hard to keep our families included in all sorts of positive, life forward activities in this especially challenging climate. Whether it’s a cooking class, dancing, mom and dad’s nights or even reconfiguring the Buddy Walk to make it safe for everyone to attend they are on it and make sure that we are apart of it. My family has big dreams for our little rascal and the DSNO family helps us to believe those will be reached and more.

Hey Friends,

It’s Rita here and I am so excited to be raising money for my friends at Down Syndrome Network Oregon. My favorite activity with them has been the weekly fitness class, and I can’t wait until I can see my friends again. DSNO plans many other great activities and I have so much fun at them.

So I have been busy playing with my dollies, dancing to Jo Jo Siwa (my favorite song is Boomerang), and playing doctor’s office, dental office, or store. This year I turned nine and I am getting ready to be with my fourth grade friends.

Back by popular demand, we have Team Abigail for the 2020 Buddy Walk! I am touched by the support from so many. This year has been crazy, hectic, and full of ups and downs and I decided that I was throwing in the Buddy Walk towel this year. However, in spite of everything happening, I have had several people reach out to me and ask me about the Buddy Walk and Team Abigail. So here you are, Team Abigail for Buddy Walk 2020. Although there is not an actual walk this year, DSNO will be hosting a Virtual Event. DSNO has given so much support to our family through the years with Mom’s Coffee, Dad’s Dinner, Mom’s Night Out, Beach Retreat, Oaks Park, Christmas Caroling, Sports Camp, Exercise Classes, and pure love, joy, and celebration and acceptance of our child. Thank you for choosing to continue to support DSNO during this chaotic time in our world. Thank you also for supporting our family and sharing your love with us, you all are truly a blessing in our lives.

It is that time of year again for our annual Buddy Walk but this year it’s VIRTUAL!

DSNO has been a constant support for Keira and our family for the past 15 years. She loves the annual Oaks Park night, Christmas Caroling Bus, Fitness classes, and the Buddy Walk ( she’ll miss the face painting this year 🙂) to name a few events. These events would not be possible if it weren’t for donations and local sponsors.

Hello Family and Friends!

We hope this message finds you safe and healthy during these challenging times. Our annual fundraising plea for Down Syndrome Network Oregon and the (virtual) Buddy Walk are a bit different this year.

First, we are acutely aware of the challenging circumstances that many are navigating at this time. Therefore, DSNO is offering reduced/free registration for those who may not be able to provide a financial support at this time, yet would still like to show support and/or participate in the virtual event. Community connection is at the heart of DSNO, and we will not let a global pandemic stand in the way of bringing awareness of and support to a community that has been an instrumental part of our village in raising Drew. AND NEW THIS YEAR: Regardless of payment ability, upon registration OR DONATION, you may request a DSNO-branded face covering to show your support (no t-shirts this year).

How may our local Drew Cru supporters participate? We plan to do a mile loop around our house. In order to honor the organizer’s request of 10 folks or less in our walking group, we are asking if friends/family/neighbors are willing to sit/stand/congregate in your quarantine-safe circles along the route and cheer on Drew…it will be like a Drew Cru parade!
