Down Syndrome Network Oregon celebrated its annual Buddy Walk® virtually once again this year. Tiffany Morgan, DSNO’s Program Director, emceed the event, along with guest host Harrison Halstead.
Tiffany kicked off the live virtual celebration, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Harrison Halstead, and the National Anthem performed by Rita Coleman and her classmates. Tiffany was then joined live by Harrison, who introduced a video montage of the 24 Buddy Teams, as well as a special message from Elliott Dale, President of the Board of Directors. Participants were then encouraged to head outdoors for a personal neighborhood walk and to submit photos to be included in the closing slideshow. After the walk, Harrison introduced a video segment featuring our members in the community and the dance challenge, and the event wrapped with a thank you message from Tiffany and a slideshow from the participants’ walks.
